ALEXA + BRAD’S LUXE WEDDING AT RESORTS WORLD LAS VEGAS
Some love stories begin with a grand gesture. Others start with a simple sip of a cocktail. For Alexa and Brad, it was the latter. While both were visiting Las Vegas from different provinces in Canada, fate stepped in at the Cosmopolitan. Brad, confident and charming, walked over and asked Alexa if she’d like a sip of his drink. From that moment forward, their story stretched across provinces and time zones, until Alexa finally moved to be with the man who would become her husband.
When it came time to exchange vows, there was never a question of where. Las Vegas—the city where they met, fell in love, and began their forever—called them back.
A Rooftop Dream, Reimagined
The original vision was to host a lush, romantic ceremony on the rooftop of Resorts World Las Vegas, surrounded by sweeping views and the city’s dazzling energy. But the wind had other plans. With weather threatening the day, we made the heartbreaking yet necessary decision to move the wedding inside.
Thanks to the quick thinking and Herculean efforts of our partners on property, along with Jennifer Cole Florals and Rental Avenue, the event was reimagined with grace and speed. The Rose Rooftop foyer was transformed into a secret garden. Hedge walls created intimacy, oversized screens showcased the couple’s engagement photos, and a sea of white florals, candlelight, and greenery brought a sense of whimsy and romance to the modern interior.
The Ceremony
Alexa and Brad exchanged vows in a setting that felt both ethereal and timeless. The aisle was lined with roses, creating a fragrant and romantic pathway to forever. Oversized floral trees stretched upward, framing the space with abundance and elegance. White pedestals, topped with dramatic arrangements, anchored the altar and drew all eyes toward the couple as they said “I do.”
The Bride & Groom
Alexa was radiant in a Katherine Tash gown—a baby pink champagne dress that shimmered with understated glamour. Diamond accents and crystal-embellished heels completed her look, while Glammed Up ensured her beauty glowed as brilliantly as her joy. Her delicate anklet, sparkling with each step, became an intimate detail that reflected her playful elegance.
Brad, dashing in a black velvet jacket, could not take his eyes off his bride. Together, they laughed, cried, and held hands tightly as they promised forever in front of family and friends.
The Reception
After the vows, guests were welcomed into a reception space layered with romance and modern sophistication. Tables were dressed in soft grey velvet linens, paired with plush white velvet chairs for a luxe tactile experience. Black accents lent depth and contrast, while ornate stacked Florentine china added an heirloom quality to each place setting.
Menus featuring the couple’s engagement photos personalized each table, reminding guests of the journey that brought everyone together. Candlelight flickered against towering floral arrangements, creating an atmosphere that was at once intimate and grand.
Entertainment came courtesy of DJ Dawson High, a young prodigy I’ve known for years. His talent, intuition, and energy ensured the dance floor remained alive all night long. Guests dined, laughed, and celebrated beneath a canopy of florals before indulging in a whimsical handcrafted cake by CAKED Las Vegas—an edible work of art that was as delicious as it was dazzling.

Their work allows the couple—and all of us—to relive the laughter, the tears, and the beauty of a love story that began with a sip of a drink and grew into a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
